Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts. The procedure can be performed for a number of reasons, including enhancing the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small. At our Bismarck, North Dakota practice, the breast augmentation procedure can also be performed to correct reductions in breast volume after pregnancy, or to balance a difference in breast size. By inserting an implant behind each breast, Dr. Rick Becker is able to increase a woman's bustline by one or more cup sizes. Dr. Becker uses either saline or silicone implants. Breast Reduction

Breast Reconstruction

The two main categories of breast reconstruction are with an implant or with the patient's own tissues. The breast reconstruction may be performed at the time of the mastectomy or anytime thereafter. Immediate reconstruction will typically provide the most cosmetically pleasing results. Each of the two main methods of reconstruction has its own set of pros and cons and a thorough discussion is required to find which option is best for you. Dr. Becker has advanced training in breast surgery and breast reconstruction. He is the only surgeon in the Dakota's and Montana to have this extensive training.
