Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts for a number of reasons:
To enhance the body contour of a woman who, for personal reasons, feels her breast size is too small. To correct
reduction in breast volume after pregnancy. To balance a difference in breast size. By inserting an implant behind each
breast, Dr. Becker is able to increase a woman's bustline by one or more bra cup sizes.

Age, pregnancy, and weight loss all contribute to sagging of the breasts. A breast lift will reposition the breasts
higher on the chest and give a better shape. This procedure which makes the breasts perky again, can be combined
with an augmentation or a small reduction.

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure which reduces the size and lifts the breasts. It is a procedure very frequently
covered by insurance. The goal of this procedure is to provide relief of neck, back, and shoulder pain, shoulder grooving,
and rashes of the skin beneath the breast. It is nearly universal that appropriate patients who have had the procedure are
extremely happy.

Reconstruction of the breast is most commonly performed for mastectomy due to cancer or extensive fibrocystic disease.
It may also be performed for congenital problems with one or both breasts, or trauma to the breasts. The two main
categories of breast reconstruction are with an implant or with the patient's own tissues. The breast reconstruction
may be performed at the time of the mastectomy (immediate) or at anytime thereafter. Immediate reconstruction will
typically provide the most cosmetically pleasing results. Each of the two main methods of reconstruction has its own
set of pros and cons and a thorough discussion is required to find which option is best for you. Dr. Becker has
advanced training in breast surgery and breast reconstruction. He is the only surgeon in the Dakota's and Montana to
have this extensive training.
